Get ready to spice things up with our jalapeno margarita - a game-changer in cocktails! Maybe it's not your typical margarita, but who needs tequila when Clever Fox Silver Rum is so versatile?

The tangy citrus flavors tango perfectly with the subtle heat of the jalapeño. Trust us, your taste buds will thank you. And the best part? Your friends won't believe you made a margarita with rum. It's our little secret!

INGREDIENTS

SINGLE COCKTAIL:

  • 2 oz Clever Fox Silver Rum
  • 3/4 oz jalapeño syrup
    (steps below)
  • 1/2 oz fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 1/4 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice

BATCHED COCKTAIL:
(makes 12, 3.5oz cocktails - 42 total oz)

  • 18 oz Clever Fox Silver Rum
  • 6 oz water
  • 9 oz jalapeño syrup
    (recipe below)
  • 6 oz fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 3 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice

SINGLE COCKTAIL

  1. Add all ingredients above in a shaker tin with ice.
  2. Rim a rocks glass with salt
    (rub the edge with citrus and dip in salt)
  3. Shake and finely strain over ice into your salted glass.
  4. Optional - garnish with fresh or dried lime wheel.

BATCHED COCKTAIL

  1. Add all ingredients together into a carafe or pitcher.
  2. Stir well and pour over ice.
  3. Optional - garnish with fresh or dried lime wheel.
EASY FRESH JALAPEÑO SYRUP

(makes 1.5 cups / 12 oz of syrup)

  1. To make the jalapeño simple syrup, add one cup of sugar and one cup of water to a sauce pan over medium heat, with one fresh chopped jalapeño.

NOTE: We usually pick a jalapeno that has no blister marks on the outside (means it's less spicy) and then use the whole pepper, seeds and all. We find that this method produces a syrup with a lot of fresh jalapeño flavor and a touch of heat, but not overly spicy. Feel free to experiment to find the heat level you enjoy!

  1. Stir until dissolved and hot, but not boiling, turn off heat.
  2. Let cool naturally or at least let stand for 10-20 minutes before cooling.
  3. Pour into a bottle and store in the fridge.
    Should last 1-2 weeks in fridge
